Our most recent recipient of the DWS Travel Grant was Maria Muchova from the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
Maria used the travel grant to present her work at the Anaerobe 2022 conference in Seattle, Washington. The research focused on how Fusobacterium nucleatum subspecies differ in biofilm forming ability in vitro (see the presentation here).
A Whitley DG250 Anaerobic Workstation played a vital role in the methodology of this investigation, as the cabinet allowed Maria to maintain anaerobic conditions suitable for creating in vitro environment.
If you, like Maria, are interested in additional funds to enable you to travel to or stay at a specific event to present your scientific work, we have several grants available for those who are able to:
1. Include a Don Whitley Scientific logo on your poster
2. Mention how you use a Whitley Workstation or Hypoxystation in your work
3. Include a photograph of the workstation used (perhaps with you using it)
4. Provide a follow-up article for our blog (which we will link to your poster on our website).
Head over to our website for more details on how to apply!
