In honour of International Women in Engineering Day 2024, we want to shine a spotlight on our talented and hard-working female engineers. With 45% of our production team being female, we stand out from the national average of just 15.7% (Engineering UK, 2024). We are extremely proud of this fact, which reflects our policy of diversity and inclusivity, and will continue to encourage more female engineers to choose a career at DWS.
DWS is a trusted manufacturer within the microbiology, cell culture, tissue engineering and pharmaceutical sectors. Every female engineer plays an essential role in our manufacturing process. Their varied skill set and expertise are key in making sure our products continue to be trusted by laboratories worldwide.
We would also like to draw attention to our engineering apprenticeship programme. This programme has encouraged many young women aged sixteen and above to start their career in engineering. This is something that which we are extremely proud of, and hope it continues to expand.
By actively promoting diversity and inclusivity in our engineering team, we are committed to creating more opportunities for women in this field and paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
